WoofPurNay Veterinary Hospital is owned and operated by Dr Gary Stapleton who has a loyal client following and has been treating small and large animals throughout Victoria for over 50 years.
Whilst Gary has owned a number of veterinary clinics during this time, WoofPurNay Veterinary Hospital is like no other.
Dr Gary Stapleton started planning this purpose built 2,800 square meter facility back in 2003 as not only a first class veterinary and emergency hospital, but also as a teaching and learning facility.
The clinic became operational in 2008 and includes fully equipped examination rooms, in house diagnostic equipment and first class surgical facilities with an overhead viewing area.
As part of the teaching and learning component, the clinic includes a large open foyer at the entrance of the building, lecture theatre and upstairs reception area. The Australian College of Applied Animal Studies operates out of the building, a registered training organisation offering hands on nursing courses.
The building also contains a swimming pool, grooming facilities and hydro bath area.
Our Mascot
Did I mention our mascot? He is of course WoofPurNay himself. He is a large part of the clinics history, with the combined features, unique powers and personalities of a dog, cat and horse. He even has a comic series to explain his background.
He loves meeting all the pets and their owners when they visit. You may see him wandering around from time to time talking to patients and he regularly attends our events. If you are lucky enough to meet him, he will make you feel right at home.
