We are searching for an experienced vet to join our team.
A vet with a minimum of 3 years experience (working with cats and dogs), including surgery. Management skills would be great too, but not essential.

Our owner Dr Gary Stapleton has been busy working and running his own practice for over 50 years. Whilst he is keen to continue working in the practice, he would like to focus more of his time on mentoring and the behind the scenes running of the business.
So he is looking for an experienced vet to take on a wide variety of cases and surgeries that he would normally do.
Plus, he is looking to promote or employ a lead vet to take on a leadership role at the clinic within the next 12 months.
We don’t expect you to know everything!
In fact we want to help you specialise in your chosen career path.
Gary has over 50 years experience and is eager to impart all his knowledge with you. Including mentorship into a lead vet role if this is what you are looking for.

Gary has owned a number of clinics and been treating all animals, big and small for over 50 years. He has also worked with farms, ranches, zoos, schools and even a circus!
More recently, in 2008 he created Woofpurnay, an animal hospital like no other.
This massive 2,800 square meter facility has grown to become a well-recognised provider of first-class veterinary care and education.

Our approach
No compulsory long hours or overtime
A dedicated vet nurse for support during consultations so you can focus on what you do best, caring for our animal patients
You will experience a wide range of cases in a fast paced, small animal hospital environment, with the opportunity for mentorship to expand learning
Capacity to learn and be provided with guaranteed surgical days up to 3 days per week
Plus, opportunity to learn or treat exotics and wildlife
And the opportunity for mentorship into a lead vet role within 12 months.
You will have access to all the equipment and tools you need to provide the best outcomes for your patients
We’d love someone on a full-time basis, with a weekend rotation
But will consider someone great with flexible working hours of 1-5 days per week

Veterinary Locums
I need your help
Hi! I’m Dr Gary and I own Woofpurnay Veterinary Hospital…..
Woofpurnay is a busy expanding practice and my team of three vets and twelve nurses have been working hard to look after our amazing clients and their pets.
Unexpectantly, one of my full-time vets has needed to move overseas for personal reasons.
Whilst I am advertising for another full time vet, I need locums to cover these important shifts until we are back to our normal staffing.
I need your help!
I am looking for a number of locum vets to support my team and clients during this time.
We require locum support right now until the end of April and possibly beyond. In particular we are looking at the following shifts:
Mondays 11am-7pm, Tuesdays 8am-4pm, Thursdays 8am-4pm, Fridays 11am-7pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm.
So, if you are a Victorian based locum vet, located in close proximity to Narre Warren North with the capacity to assist, I would love to hear from you.
We are looking for locum vets with a bit of experience (3 years plus, working with dogs and cats). Surgery experience would be great too, but it’s not essential.
Whether it be a day a week, Saturdays or something more substantial, I am keen to piece together coverage so my clients can be looked after.
We are a large veterinary hospital, a massive 2,800 square meter facility like no other that has grown to become a well-recognised provider of first-class veterinary care and education.
We will make sure you are fully supported in your time with us…
There will always be a dedicated nurse by your side. So, no wrestling with unfamiliar systems or working out how to price things up!
